Working on a 130-year-old house can be a challenge. Every project takes longer and is more difficult than anticipated. One area we focused on was the shared guest bathroom. It felt cramped and outdated, so we decided to replace the original sink with a modern, smaller pedestal sink. Unfortunately, the hot water faucet had been dripping for some time, and even after replacing the gaskets, the leak persisted. Upon removing the pedestal sink, we discovered that the drain was also leaking, causing a soaked floor. After letting it dry for a few days, we were relieved to find that only the affected area needed to be fixed. All in all, the new sink was a great solution for the time being.
